On Sunday, Jennifer Hudson performed for the public for the first time since the tragic family murders occurred. She arrived looking beautiful and gave a stellar performance singing the national anthem before the big game. Her powerful voice and the personal strength it would take for one to overcome such a tragedy and perform for the public certainly did not go unrecognized.

Jamie Foxx, Hudson’s co-star in Dreamgirls, recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve asked her fans and anybody that appreciates her talent and her as a person to pray for her and give her some energy,” Foxx told ET. Hudson is undoubtedly in the thoughts and prayers of many and her outstanding performance on Sunday certainly left the crowd more than satisfied.
