Review: Guitar Hero World Tour

AWWWW YEAH! Guitar Hero World Tour (GHWT) kicks ass! It seems Neversoft and Activision really got their act together after the disappointing release of Guitar Hero 3 for this Rockband competitor, with the release of GHWT in late October on the PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. This will be one tight review so I’ll get right to it with this Xbox 360 review. Because there are so many aspects to this game I’ll break it down as follows: I’ll talk about the instruments, the graphics, the music, the game options, and finally my overall feel of the title. According to E News, McCullouch was riding the subway in from New York\’s JFK Airport at 2 a.m. when a thug tried to grab his laptop. But McCullouch, who boxes three or four times a week, swung at the robber. \”Well, that\’s when he pulled a kitchen knife out of a black plastic bag,\” said the actor, who plays investigator Bobby Dawson on C.S.I. \”This thing must have had a blade 10 inches long. Review: Presonus HP 4

Presonus products for the recording studio HP-4 Headphone Amplifier You’ve just set up your digital recording studio and you’re with a couple of other musicans, all ready to record. Suddenly you realize there are not enough headphone jacks for everyone. This is a situation that is initially, easily overlooked. The primary purpose of the Presonus HP-4 is to provide multiple headphone jacks where originally there is insufficient supply. In the recording studio, multiple headphones are a must and a headphone amplifier such as the HP-4 will allow up to 4 people to listen simultaneously. One of the neat things about he HP-4 is the ability to daisy chain multiple units together if more than 4 headphone sets are required. The HP-4 is quiet, has a crisp clear sound and plenty of volume if needed, for headroom purposes. Continue reading

Star Trek Movie Preview

Here was an odd assignment: “We would like to extend an invitation to you to join us for a Special Presentation of footage from our upcoming film STAR TREK.” It was sent by a publicist from Paramount. Now, screening 20 minutes of footage for an audience at a sci-fi or comic convention, I could understand. Screening said footage for folks like me, who couldn’t fill a page with their knowledge of Star Trek, seems a little… odd. After all, four scenes out of context can’t help but lose some of their impact when compared to the finished product. And what can I do except review said scenes as if I had seen the full-length movie? Continue reading

Rant ‘N Rave: Girlicious

Just when I thought the days of young girls dressing up like strippers and disguising themselves as singers were gone after the early years of Britney were long over, Miley Cyrus and Girlicious just had to prove me wrong. Damn you skanky pop stars. When Robin Antin—the genius behind the other barely-clothed girl group known as Pussycat Dolls—decided to create another “masterpiece”, I was curious to see the end result. PCD were an international success. And while my love for Girlicious is non-existent, I kinda like PCD. And here’s why: Continue reading
