Taylor Swift is branching out into the world of fashion.

The 19-year-old country singer has teamed up with fashion line L.E.I. to launch her own line of inexpensive dresses that will hit Wal-Mart stores in February.

L.E.I. Sundresses by Taylor Swift will be a collection of colourful cotton spring dresses, all retailing at $14.

Swift will also appear in the Jones Apparel Group’s spring and autumn ad campaigns.

“Sundresses are my favorite things to wear,” the singer told New York magazine. “In the summer, I automatically want to look bohemian.”

Despite her new venture, Swift doesn’t want to be known as a fashion designer. “It’s not the Taylor Swift designer line or whatever. . . . I have my place as a musician, and I’m going to pretty much stick to that,” she said.

To that effect, Swift will set out on her first headlining tour this spring, hitting more than 50 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada over six months.

She is supporting her sophomore album, “Fearless,” which has spent eight straight weeks at No. 1 on The Billboard 200.

The tour launches April 23 in Evansville, Ind., and will feature Kelly Pickler as the opening act.

Here are the Canadian stops announced so far on Swift’s “Fearless 2009″ tour:

July 8 – Calgary, Alberta (Pengrowth Saddledome)
July 9 – Edmonton, Alberta (TBA)
July 10 – Craven, Saskatchewan (Craven Country Jamboree)
July 11 – Winnipeg, Manitoba (MTS Centre)
