U2 To Rock BRIT Awards With New Single
U2 will herald their release of their new album by performing the first single, “Get on Your Boots,” at the BRIT Awards next month.
The track is taken from “No Line on the Horizon,” due in stores March 3.
The album is the Irish band’s first full-length release since 2004’s multi-platinum “How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb,” which went on to win eight Grammys.
The group is no stranger to BRIT awards either, having won seven of them including the outstanding contribution to music prize in 2001.
The recipients of that award this year are the Pet Shop Boys, who are thus far the other confirmed performer at the Feb. 18 ceremony at London’s Earls Court.
BRIT nominations will be announced Jan. 20.
