According to E News, Shia LaBeouf is going to be taking a little break from filming due to a severe injury to his left hand in a July 27 rollover crash.

“Shia’s hand is totally shattered, it’s much worse than anyone thought,” the source said.

LaBeouf, 22, somehow managed to film through his injury in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, however, was forced to drop out of the upcoming technology-themed thriller Dark Fields. Production on the film had already been delayed thanks to its now former star’s medical issues.

LaBeouf, who already underwent one extensive surgery in the days immediately following his accident, requires a second procedure to further repair the area around his thumb.
