She’s been impersonated on “Saturday Night Live”, and it was only time, that Sarah Palin would eventually be promoted to the next level of comedic abuse.

And on Saturday, that time came for five minutes.

Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, was subjected to a prank call from a Canadian comedian posing as French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

The prank call was made by well-known Montreal comedy duo Marc-Antoine Audette and Sebastien Trudel, who are credited for their prank calls to celebrities and heads of state.

Known as the Masked Avengers, the comedians called up Palin, in which Audette- posing as Sarkozy with an exaggerated French accent- undergoes a conversation of many topics, including politics, a hunting trip and Sarkozy’s wife Carla Bruni, a model-turned-songwriter.

The fake Sarkozy invited Palin out to hunt with him, which is also a hobby of the 44-year-old Alaska governor.

“I just love killing those animals. Mmm, mmm, take away life, that is so fun,” the fake Sarkozy said.

In which Palin then counters: “Well, I think we could have a lot of fun together while getting work done, we can kill two birds with one stone that way.”

Palin was caught in yet another naive moment, when the comedian refers to Canadian singer Steph Carse as Canada’s prime minister, in which Palin replies: “Well, he’s doing fine and yeah, when you come into a position underestimated it gives you an opportunity to prove the pundits and the critics wrong. You work that much harder.”

Valid answer, although Canada’s prime minister is Stephen Harper.

While Palin is praising Sarkozy throughout the phone call, she mentions his wife Carla Bruni.

“You know, I look forward to working with you and getting to meet you personally and your beautiful wife,” Palin says. “Oh my goodness, you’ve added a lot of energy to your country with that beautiful family of yours.”

The Sarkozy impersonator, then tells Palin his wife is “so hot in bed.”

The comedian also informs the Alaska governor, that he admired the “documentary” made about her, while referring to a pornographic film with a Palin look-alike, made by Hustler fonder Larry Flynt.

“Ohh, good, thank you, yes,” Palin answers hesitantly.

The “Masked Avengers” then reveal the prank and identify themselves and their radio station, which leaves Palin embarrassed and frustrated.

“Ohhh, have we been pranked?” Palin asks before handing the phone to an aide who ends the call.
