‘Villains’ Comic To Get Big-Screen Adaptation
Super-baddies, not superheroes, will take centre stage in Universal’s latest movie based on a comic.
The studio has acquired the rights to adapt the Viper Comics graphic novel “Villains, a noir action-adventure series told from the evil guys’ perspective.
The comic, created by Adam Cogan and Ryan Cody, revolves around Nick Corrigan, an aimless 20-something who discovers his aging neighbour used to be a supervillain known as “Hardliner” and becomes his protégé.
The comic will be adapted by newcomers Matt Jennison and Brent Strickland, the same team who have been tapped to write the “Wonder Woman” script for Warner Bros.
No production date for “Villains” has been set.
