The Jonas Brothers — all four of them — have signed on to star in the upcoming family film “Walter the Farting Dog.”

The Fox project is based on a bestselling book series of the same name, written by New Brunswick’s Glenn Murray.

According to Variety, the brothers will play a group of musicians who are asked to care for their great-aunt’s flatulent pooch.

The pop trio of Nick, 16, Joe, 19, and Kevin, 20, will be joined in the movie by their younger brother, eight-year-old “Bonus Jonas” Frankie, whose character will go on a series of adventures with the dog.

Peter and Bobby Farrelly (”There’s Something About Mary,” “Fever Pitch”) are co-producing and may potentially direct the film, which will begin shooting in spring 2009.

Nick, Joe and Kevin previously appeared in the made-for-TV movie “Camp Rock” and are currently working on their TV series, “J.O.N.A.S.!” with Frankie.
