Zibra Company announced yesterday the release of Open It!, a package opener designed by a group of female consumers working with the company. This device features several new features than the previous model of Open It!, such as a improved locking clasp and a safety cap for the retractable blade.

The Open It! also features patented angular jaws that allow the device to cut through plastic packaging while keeping hands away from sharp edges of clam shell packages. The size of the jaws are designed to provide the maximum leverage while cutting.

The new Open It retails between about $10 to $13, and is available at Home Depot and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
