Coldplay’s upcoming EP will feature a guest spot from Jay-Z.

The rap icon joins the band on a remix of “Lost,” a song off of Coldplay’s most recent album, “Viva La Vida.”

The Jay-Z version, which was recently recorded in New York, is dubbed “Lost +” and will appear on the eight-track “Prospekt’s March,” due out Nov. 24.

The remix marks a reunion of sorts — Martin and Jay-Z previously collaborated on “Beach Chair,” a song on the rapper’s 2006 album, “Kingdom Come.”

“Prospekt’s March” will also include an Osaka Sun remix of “Lovers in Japan,” while the rest of the songs are tracks that the band worked on during their “Viva La Vida” sessions but did not complete in time for the album’s release in June.

Singer Chris Martin recently posted a note on his band’s official site about the new songs.

“They have each been the subject of many discussions and arguments.” he wrote. “Some might be considered too catchy or too heavy for Coldplay songs, but in our minds, they complete the Viva la Vida picture.”

Coldplay will kick off a North American tour Oct. 20 in Ottawa.
