‘Nick and Norah’ Star Eyes Toronto-Shot Indie
Kat Dennings, who hits theatres this weekend in “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist,” already has another project in the works.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 22-year-old actress is in negotiations to star opposite Woody Harrelson and Sandra Oh in the indie flick “Defendor.”
The film revolves around a regular man (Harrelson) who believes he has a secret identity as a superhero. Oh is cast as his psychiatrist, while Dennings would play a teenager he befriends.
Making his feature directorial debut is Peter Stebbings, who also wrote the movie.
Shooting will begin next month in Toronto.
Dennings, who is also currently appearing in theatres in “The House Bunny,” has several projects scheduled to come out next year, including the romantic comedy “The Dream of the Romans” and the family movie “Shorts.”
