Hawksley Workman is hitting the road — but not in the way you may think.
The singer-songwriter is heading to several Ontario universities to discuss election issues with students and campus groups ahead of the Oct. 14 federal election.
Workman will take part in radio interviews and roundtable discussions to speak about such topics as federal funding for the arts, post-secondary education and the importance of voting.
You can catch Workman on campus radio stations on these dates:
Oct. 2:
London, ON @ University Of Western Ontario (CHRW)
Waterloo, ON @ University Of Waterloo (CKMS)
Guelph, ON @ University Of Guelph (CFRU)
Oct. 3:
Toronto, ON @ University Of Toronto (CIUT)
Mississauga, ON @ University Of Toronto, Erindale Campus (CFRE)
Hamilton, ON @ McMaster University (CFMU)
Oct. 7:

Oct. 8:

On the music end of things, Workman will reunite with Hey Rosetta! for a handful of dates in November. He produced the St. John’s-based band’s latest album, “Into Your Lungs,” which recently won Album of the Year at the inaugural Verge Music Awards.
Workman has released two studio albums of his own this year, “Between the Beautifuls” and “Los Manlicious.”
