On Friday, Kalypso Media announced the signing of “The Political Machine”, a strategy PC game where players run for President. Players can pick an existing candidate, or design their own and then choose a map or scenario to campaign.

In The Political Machine, players will be running for the presidency of the United States, and can run against a computer opponent or against other players over the Internet. Players can choose to run for the 2008 presidency or in various other campaigns throughout history. There is also a Modern Day Scenario that uses real-world data that the player’s candidate must deal with in television ads and other campaigning situations.

The Political Machine will be released for the PC on Oct. 10 from www.kalyposmedia.com.
