Today, PopCap Games, a developer and publisher of casual games, announced that its PopCap Chicago Studio launched Wizard’s Pen, a “hidden object/puzzle” game for the PC, according to a press release from the company. Wizard’s Pen challenges players to identify objects through layers of a picture that are revealed in a variety of ways through the use of a magic pen.

In Wizard’s Pen, players take the role of apprentice to a wizard who has mysteriously disappeared, and the only way to find him is through his workbook. All of the pages, however, are blank, and players must use the wizard’s magical pen to uncover what is in each picture. There are 400 pages of secret items to unveil, 16 mission object mini-challenges and seven unlockable mini-games.
