Eminem’s Mom to Release Her New Book “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem”
Debbie Nelson, the mother of Marshall Mathers, also known as grammy winning rapper Eminem, will be releasing a book regarding her relationship with her son, titled “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem”.
The book, which is due out in November, hopes to set the record straight as to what kind of relationship the two had together, contrary to what the rapper has portrayed her to the public as a trailer park welfare mother.
“He never knew his father, and I did all I could to make up for it,” said Nelson. “I wasn’t happy when he made up a whole new life for himself — what mother wants to be known as a pill-popping alcoholic who lives on welfare? To tell the truth, I was heartbroken.”
Nelson says that she encouraged her son throughout his career, including his experience of being laughed off stage and mocked by the Detroit MC’s and DJ’s that he tried to impress.
A family friend told Life and Style Magazine, “Debbie just hopes he’ll read the book and realize how loved he is.”
