V Festival is spinning off yet again.

The annual music festival, which originated in England and has offshoots in Canada, the U.S. and Australia, will launch in South Africa later this year as Virgin Festival by Virgin Mobile.

Snoop Dogg, Maroon 5, OneRepublic and British reggae icon Eddy Grant are among the acts slated to perform at the event, which will take place in Johannesburg Dec. 13 and Cape Town Dec. 16.

Local acts are also on the bill, including electronica pop-rockers Zebra & Giraffe, hip-hop group Jozi, and indie bands The Parlotones and Dirty Skirts.

“In the last 12 years we have launched eight successful businesses in SA,” Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson said in a statement.

“We have over one million customers and 4,500 staff, and it just makes sense to launch Virgin festival here — especially as South Africa has some of the most beautiful Greenfield sites in the world.

“Live music is growing — it’s a great way to connect with youth and it is something to be positive about.”

Promoter Big Concerts is expecting the festival to draw 60,000 music fans across both days.

Tickets go on sale Sept. 16 through Computicket.
