This week, video game publisher XS Games announced the release of a new arcade style air combat video game, Rebel Raider: Operation Nighthawk, for the Nintendo Wii. Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk is set in a futuristic universe where the player assumes the role of a pilot who is leader of the elite resistance army unit ‘Ghost Squadron’. The player is in command of a group of inexperience fighter pilots to lead into battle against the corrupt and turmoil-ridden the Union of World Nations.

The single player game uses both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to control the player’s aircraft, and features 34 unique missions that can be navigated with 23 different fighter planes. By commanding the Ghost Squadron, completing missions and defending the front line, the player earns points to fly top-secret planes with devastating weapons.

Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk will be releases nationwide on September 16, and will retail for approximately $30.
