Jennifer Aniston To Guest Star On ‘30 Rock’
Jennifer Aniston is the latest “Friend” to drop by the Emmy-winning comedy “30 Rock.”
The actress’s publicist Stephen Huvane confirmed to E! Online Friday that she is currently shooting her guest spot on the show.
He did not give any specifics about her role or say when the episode would air.
It marks Aniston’s return to NBC, the network where she shot to stardom playing Rachel Green on 10 seasons of “Friends.”
Her guest appearance follows in the footsteps of fellow “Friends” alumni David Schwimmer, who had his own stint on the show last season as environmental mascot Greenzo.
“30 Rock,” starring Tiny Fey and Alex Baldwin, has had great success with its past guest performers, having netted seven guest-star Emmy nominations this year for such actors as Steve Buscemi, Carrie Fisher, Edie Falco and Will Arnett (who will return in the upcoming season).
The show kicks off its third season on Oct. 30.
Since “Friends” ended in 2004, Aniston has appeared in such films as “Rumor Has It,” “Derailed” and “Friends with Money.” She has also guest starred on “Dirt,” the FX series produced by and starring “Friends” alumni Courtney Cox Arquette.
Her upcoming movies include “Marley & Me” opposite Owen Wilson and the ensemble romantic-comedy “He’s Just Not That Into You.”
