Yesterday, Sony Canada unveiled its new wireless, multi-room audio system for listening to iPod players. The new S-Airplay system features Sony’s S-Air technology which provides users with a practical, wireless, multi-room audio system without complicated setup and special requirements.

Wireless audio sound can be transmitted from the system’s main docking station in one room to numerous rooms throughout the home – the signal can reach to nearly 164 feet. The sound can be transmitted by plugging a separate S-Air wireless speaker into any power outlet.

Pre-orders for this product can now be made at www.sonystyle.ca. In September, the entire system will be available in Sony Style locations and select retailers nation-wide. The S-Airplay will retail for about $400, and additional wireless speakers for the systems will be available for about $130 direct from Sony.
