Mel C is expecting her first child, making her the last of the Spice Girls to become a mom.

The singer, whose full name is Melanie Chisholm, revealed she was pregnant on her website Friday.

The father is Thomas Starr, her boyfriend of six years.

“As I’m sure you’ll understand, we needed time to wait for results and tell our families,” Chishom, 34, wrote.

“Thank you for all your kindness, good wishes and support (even if it was based on speculation!),” she added, referring to rumours that had been circulating in British tabloids.

Chisholm said she will be “taking it easy” but is also looking forward to begin writing her fifth album.

The Spice Girls recently reunited for a world tour, which ended in Toronto in February. The other four members of the British pop group have a combined total of 7 children.
