Black Box, a studio of Electronic Arts Inc., today unveiled new details of the Need For Speed Undercover action game, set for worldwide release this November.

This edition of the Need For Speed series has players racing through speedways, avoiding cops and chasing rivals as they go deep undercover to take down an International crime syndicate. The game also introduces the all-new “Heroic Driving Engine” – a unique technology that generates high-performance moves at 180 miles per hour during highway battles.

“Need For Speed Undercover puts you at the centre of a big-budget Hollywood movie with all of the drama, action and dazzling chase scenes, right on your gaming console. The unique Heroic Driving Engine will give you ultimate control over the hottest cars and push you to use every ounce of skill to outrun the law and take down criminal adversaries,” said Executive Producer Bill Harrison, in a press release from the company.

The game features a mix of computer graphics and live-action movies in an attempt to immerse gamers in the world of the Tri-City Bay Area. Need For Speed Undercover new A.I. mechanic also a realistic and high-energy action driving experience. Going back to the franchise’s roots, the game will also feature aggressive and intelligent cops whose sole purpose to take the player out quickly and by any means necessary.

Need For Speed Undercover is being developed by Black Box in Vancouver, B.C., and will be in stores North America on November 18 and in Europe on November 21. The game will be supported by the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable and PC.
