Black Mountain are gearing up for a fresh batch of dates across North America, including three headlining shows in Canada and a gig at Vancouver’s Stanley Park Singing Exhibition.

The B.C. psychedelic rockers will hit Victoria, Montreal and Toronto during their 10-date run, which will take them through August and September.

Joining the five-piece for some of the dates is Seattle-based singer-songwriter Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter.

Black Mountain will get things rolling with a show at San Francisco’s Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival on Aug. 22, and wrap up at Toronto’s Opera House on Sept. 27.

In between, they will appear as “special guests” at the Stanley Park Singing Exhibition, a two-day festival spearheaded by fellow Canadian band The New Pornographers. Black Mountain will take the stage on Sept. 1 along with Belle and Sebastian’s Stevie Jackson, 1990s, Visqueen and, of course, The New Pornographers.

Right now, the five-piece Black Mountain are in the midst of several festival dates in Europe. They are touring in support of their second album “In The Future,” which was released in January and snagged a spot on the 2008 Polaris Music Prize shortlist.
