Meridian4, an interactive software publisher based in Montreal, Canada, announced today that they have signed a publishing agreement with Hermitworks Entertainment Corporation for their unique Action/Trading game; Space Trader – Merchant Marine.

“We’re really excited to be working with Meridian4. They share our vision in offering players a unique game play experience. We’ve changed the rules of traditional action games to challenge both new and veteran players and Meridian4 supports us in this.” said Cameron Tofer, President and Co-Founder of Hermitworks Entertainment, in a press release from the company.

Space Trader – Merchant Marine is set in the far future where humanity is ruled by The Ministry of Accounts, an oppressive bureaucracy that tracks, records, and taxes every transaction made. A rebel group of marketer arises from this society to challenge authority and make a profit, called a Space Trader. Playing as a Space Traders, gamers will attempt to amass a large fortune through buying and selling commodities and battling against the oppressors, or accepting bounty missions involving hunting down crime bosses and their thugs.
