Winehouse’s Hubby to Remain Behind Bars Until 2010
Amy Winehouse may say “no” when it comes to going to rehab but, if the singer wants to continue seeing her husband, she will have to say “yes” to prison, reports E! News.
A London judge sentenced Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil to 27 months behind bars as a punishment for assaulting a pub owner and then attempting to cover the incident up.
Fielder-Civil pleaded guilty to the charges and Amy Winehouse’s other half has already spent about nine months at the Pentonville Prison. If Fielder-Civil’s time served in prison is taken into account, he may only have 18 months left behind bars.
Mr. Winehouse admitted to assaulting 36-year-old bar owner Jamie King in 2006. The attack was so vicious that King was required to get plates fitted to his face after suffering a broken cheekbone.
Fielder-Civil then tried to hush King from going to court by paying him $400,000 and an expenses-paid exotic vacation.
Why is it so difficult for the Winehouses to lead a normal and sane life?
