Shaking things up once again, tonight’s results show had the judges pick their four favourite singers from the previous two nights for encore performances.

Farley picks Theo Tams to sing “Collide” again. Zack has Amberly Thiessen perform “Everything I Own.” “Not only is she an incredibly true artist, but for me when I’m trying to think about what an Idol could be, she radiates the kind of lifestyle that people can buy into,” says Zack.

Jake picks Oliver Pigott to sing “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.” And no surprise, after receiving a standing ovation last night, Sass picks Omar Lunan to sing “Ain’t No Sunshine.”

Ben announces Lisa Bell, Marie-Pierre Bellerose and Paul Clifford are in the bottom three from Monday night’s show. From Tuesday’s show, Jesse Cottam, Adam Castelli and Jessica Sheppard are in the bottom three.

From Monday’s show, Paul Clifford is the first to be eliminated. “No regrets,” says Paul. And from Tuesday’s show, Jesse Cottam becomes the show’s next reject.

“I’m not that surprised. The performers who made an impact are still in the competition,” says Jake. On Monday’s show, Marie and Lisa once again find each other pitted against one another. And it’s Marie who prevails with Lisa being eliminated. From Tuesday’s show, Jessica Sheppard is the last to be eliminated.

Sixteen are left, twelve men and four women. The sweet sixteen will compete next Monday and Tuesday for a place in the top ten.
