50 Cent Sues Ex for $20 Million
Not only was 50 Cent slapped with a restraining order by his ex Shaniqua Tompkins, but the rapper retaliated with a $20 million defamation suit, reports E! News.
50 Cent, who real name is Curtis Jackson, has been ordered by a Long Island judge to avoid any contact with Tompkins. The order also stipulates that Jackson must pick-up and drop-off the couple’s 11-year-old son Marquise “at curbside” and the rapper must also surrender any and all firearms he owns.
“I will not let this man break me—I won’t,” the 32-year-old Tompkins said in court.
Although Jackson is in Canada on business and did not attend the hearing, his legal team filed a contempt petition, stating Tompkins is not living up to the terms of their custody agreement.
“Ms. Tompkins is refusing to permit my client to have any contact with his son at all, even to the extent of not revealing his location to him. So we’ve asked the judge to order that access be given,” Kimmel told E! News.
Just last month, Tompkins accused Jackson of setting fire to the 2.4 million dollar home they once shared – claiming the rapper tried to kill her and their son. Although investigators suspect arson, no arrests have yet been made.
