Finger Eleven’s “Paralyzer” has set a download record.

According to Nielsen SoundScan RTD Digital Track Chart, the Finger Eleven single is Canada’s most downloaded track by a Canadian artist.

“To have been told of this amazing news, it completely overwhelms me and the rest of the band,” says the band’s drummer, Rich Beddoe.

“When we wrote this song, we never could have imagined how far it would take the band and just how many people would react to it.

“We are honoured to be just a little part of musical history.”

The track is also popular south of the border, where Americans have downloaded it more than 2.2 million times. This makes it the 19th best-selling download of all time.

Finger Eleven also recently took a title from fellow Canadian rockers Nickelback. “Paralyzer” was locked in at #1 on the Canadian rock radio chart for 14 weeks–breaking Nickelback’s record for the most weeks spent at the top of the chart.
