Tim Russert’s Autopsy Results Revealed
Tim Russert’s autopsy results reveal that the veteran NBC newsman and a host of “Meet the Press” and the “Tim Russert Show” died from a heart attack, report E! News.
“Russert, age 58, was known to have asymptomatic coronary artery disease, which resulted in hardening of his coronary arteries,” said Dr. Michael Newman, Russert’s personal physician. “A fresh clot ruptured in Russert’s left anterior descending coronary artery, causing the fatal heart attack.”
Newman also stated that the autopsy showed that Russert had an enlarged heart.
“The New York Times” was the first to report Russert’s untimely death Friday. This year, Russert was named on of “Time” magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.
Russert is survived by his wife “Vanity Fair” writer Maureen Orth, and their son, Luke.
