‘Wonder Woman’ Star Finds Body
Lynda Carter was canoeing on the Potomac River when she spotted a woman floating in the water. The actress who played “Wonder Woman” did not have a cell phone with her, but screamed to several boaters nearby who called 911.
The body belonged to 47-year-old Helen Johnstone of Washington who authorities believe fell into the water while hiking.
Carter said that she “did what anybody would have done.” The medical examiner’s office has not yet declared an official cause of death, but an investigation is under way for Johnstone.
“Wonder Woman” aired on TV from 1975 to 1979. Carter has two children with lawyer Robert Altman, whom she married on January 29, 1984.
