‘Idol’ Boss: Paul Abdul not leaving show
Even though Paula Abdul began critiquing both of Jason Castro’s performances on “American Idol” last Tuesday—although he had yet to even perform his second song—one of the show’s top boss is not kicking Paula off the show.
“Why would we get rid of Paula?” Cecile Frot-Coutaz, the show’s executive producer, asked when questioned. Frot-Coutaz also stated that she is not concerned about talks that the competition might not be authentic.
“I love that everyone was talking about it,” she said referring to Tuesday’s incident. “It was so unexpected. It was something that took up 2 seconds of airtime. You’d think there was no other news on television.”
