After seven days of closed beta testing, Korean developer Lizard Interactive announced that beginning April 30th, it will be opening the doors to the beta test to all players for its upcoming free-to-play, 3D fantasy MMORPG, Sho.
The announcement comes after the very successful short closed beta period which introduced almost all the key components of the game and had no major problems. As a result, the open beta will begin earlier than expected due to its success.
Set in 1100 BC China, during a great war between the nations of Yin and Zhou, players must choose a faction and battle for the 80 mutual territories which are based on actual locations. By completing quests and challenges through the game territories are conquered and more hunting ground is made available for your own nation; increasing the resources available.
The engine system, designed specifically for Sho, makes it possible for players with lower computer specs to run full 3D games with high quality graphics without lag.
Sho will eventually be competing against another free-to-play fantasy MMORPG, Mythos which is developed by Flagship Studios and is also currently in the beta testing phase.
