Madonna To Play Rare Club Show
Madonna will play an intimate show at the end of the month in support of her upcoming album, “Hard Candy.”
The show will take place at the Roseland Ballroom in New York on April 30, a day after the U.S. release of the Queen of Pop’s eleventh studio album.
Some tickets will be available at the Roseland on a first-come, first-served basis, while Verizon customers can also win tickets into the 3000-capacity venue by way of to-be-announced contests.
VH1 has also launched a contest called “4 Lines For Madonna,” in which fans will be able to win their way into the show by writing four-line poems about the pop singer. The competition is open until April 24, and two winners will be chosen based on creativity and originality.
Fans who can’t make it into the show will still have the chance to catch it on the web. The concert will be cybercast live on “MSN Music in Concert” in the U.S., and on May 15 for the rest of the world.
Madonna, 49, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last month in honour of a career that has spanned two-and-a-half decades.
