Rapper Vanilla Ice was arrested for domestic battery Thursday night, after his wife Laura called the cops to say he was hitting and kicking her.

But when the police arrived, Laura appeared uninjured, and admitted the rapper didn’t hit or kick her–he only pushed her.

“He started yelling at me for going out to buy a bedroom set. In from of my daughter,” she told a deputy. “I’m sorry I can’t say anymore until I talk to an attorney.”

The rapper denies pushing his wife, and says her bipolar disorder might be to blame for the argument.

But Ice has been arrested for domestic battery once before, in 2004.

Ice is best known for his hit song “Ice Ice Baby.”
