Following the recent announcement of her teenage pregnancy, sources near 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears announced this week she will get married.

People.com reports that Spears and her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, 18, are officially engaged.

Apparently the younger Spears has told family and friends, but she has yet to publicly announce the news.

“She’s got an engagement ring. She’s been showing it off, talking about it,” a source said.

Spears and Aldridge are expecting their first child this summer, no wedding plans have been officially announced.
