Ellen DeGeneres To Co-Host ‘Idol Gives Back’
Looks like Ryan Seacrest is going to have a little company on stage–again.
FOX has tapped Ellen DeGeneres to rejoin Seacrest as co-host of “Idol Gives Back,” an American Idol benefit special.
The event will raise money and awareness for various international charities.
DeGeneres says the show offers “the joy of giving and an amazing lineup of artists.”
These include Maroon 5, Heart, Gloria Estefan, Boyz II Men, and the Clark Brothers.
Celebrities set to make appearances include: Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Bono, John Legend, Annie Lennox, Miley Cyrus, Fergie, and Snoop Dogg.
Last year, the fundraiser raised $78 million for various international charities. It also won a prestigious Governor’s Award Emmy.
The special will air April 9.
