Final Potter Book Split Into Two Movies
Potter fans rejoice: Warner Brothers have announced that the seventh and final book in J.K. Rowling’s hugely popular boy-wizard series will be turned into two films.
The first installment of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” will be released in late 2010, with the second part following a few months later.
According to producers, the length of the last book, which was published last July, and its complex storylines prompted the need for two movies.
The previous Potter movies have been box-office hits, with the first five films raking in nearly $4.5 billion worldwide.
The sixth movie, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” is currently filming in the U.K.
