Attention all Beverly Hills, 90210 fans: the show may be getting a spinoff!

The CW network is said to be developing a new spinoff of Aaron Spelling’s hit teen soap. Rob Thomas, creator of Veronica Mars, is in talks about the project.

This would be the second spinoff of the show. FOX previously aired Melrose Place, a show about a group of 20-somethings living in a hip part of L.A. Melrose Place had a successful seven-year run.

Beverly Hills, 90210 aired on FOX from 1990-2000 and starred Canada’s Jason Priestly and Shannen Doherty as Minnesota teens who move into L.A.’s richest community. The show co-starred Jenni Garth, Luke Perry, Ian Ziering and Tori Spelling.
