Michael Bublé won two trophies at the Canadian Smooth Jazz awards on Friday, bumping his total to five since the annual event was launched in 2005.

This year, Bublé took home Male Vocalist of the Year and best Original Composition for “Everything” during the gala held at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Ont.

Jazz pianist and singer Diana Krall was awarded the female vocalist prize, her second time capturing that title.

Album of the year went to Toronto-based singer and pianist Carol Welsman for her self-titled sixth CD.

The night’s performers included Welsman, who took the stage with “What a Fool Believes,” Alfie Zappacosta, Warren Hill and Montreal native Les Sabler.

The other awards doled out were:

- Guitarist of the Year: Jesse Cook
- Wind Instrumentalist: Allistair Elliott
- Keyboardist/Pianist: Kristian Alexandrov
- Broadcaster of the Year: Alexander Zonjic of WVMV in Detroit, Mich.
- International Vocalist: Randy Crawford
- International Instrumentalist: Peter White
