A judge has ruled that a breathalyzer taken by Chad Kroeger is admissible, Canwest News Service reports.

The Nickleback frontman was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving in 2006. Allegedly the rock star had 140 milligrams of alcohol to 100 milligrams of blood – nearly twice the legal limit.

Kroeger was stopped by police in June of 2006 when police witnessed his car going 160 km/h, allegedly he gave the officers his credit card instead of his driver’s license when he was asked to produce the latter.

Kroeger was not in court on Monday when the decision was handed down. The next court date in the case is set for March 12.
