Doctors Investigated About Ledger’s Prescription
E! Online is reporting that two doctors are being investigated in connection with the prescriptions Heath Ledger was taking when he died in January.
The US Drug Enforcement Agency is looking at who, and why, prescribed the combination of drugs that it is believed killed him in his sleep.
Neither of the doctors’ names have been released, but the website says one is in Texas and the other is in California.
The New York Daily News is reporting the doctors are being investigated because it is believe they were the ones who prescribed the painkillers Oxycontin and Vicodin to Ledger. It is not known whether the doctors prescribed both drugs or just one each to the late actor.
