Eminem To Pen Autobiography
He’s an award-winning rapper, critically acclaimed actor and now Eminem can add author to his impressive repertoire.
The hip hop superstar known for bearing his soul through his music will write his own autobiography, E! Online reports.
Eminem’s U.K.-based publisher revealed that the memoir will be titled Eminem: The Way I Am and is scheduled to hit shelves on Oct. 16.
“Everyone has their own take on Eminem. Because of where he is from, people think they know where he is at, what kind of person he really is. This book cuts through all that and gets to the source,” said the Orion Publishing Group editor Ian Preece. “It has an edge. It’ll be one of the books of the year.”
The controversial rapper will reportedly debut unreleased photographs, rare hand-drawn art, sketches and journal entries in the book chronicling his turbulent life. The autobiography will start from his humble beginnings in a Detroit trailer park to the release of his breakthrough album.
Eminem has been keeping out of the spotlight working on his highly anticipated sixth album and his label isn’t impressed with the book news.
Interscope Records is calling the announcement premature and inaccurate.
