Maks Not Returning to Dancing with the Stars
Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the professional Latin dancer who placed second last season with Mel B., will not be putting on his dancing shoes this season, ew.com reports.
Known to the audience of the hit ABC show as Maks, the dancer explains he wants to pursue other options this spring, but does plan to return to the show next season.
“There are a lot of things in the works that I want to tend to. People say this show opens doors, but you’re so busy doing the show, that you’re not able to use the doors,” he said.
Dancing with the Stars announced its latest crop of celebrities this week and the new season is set to premiere next month.
Chmerkovskiy did not unveil his immediate plans.
