Lil Wayne Charged
Lil Wayne has been slapped with felony drug and weapons charges after boarder police found drugs and handguns on his tour bus.
The 25-year-old rapper was present in the Yuma, Arizona courtroom as he was charged with counts of felony possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, MTV News reports.
Lil Wayne is still expected to appear at his sold-out show in Richmond, Virginia as the judge ruled to allow the troubled rapper to leave the state.
The rapper’s manager, Cortez Bryant, said that Wayne would “definitely” be performing.
Wayne is no stranger to legal woes. This arrest follows many other problems with the law that the MC has faced in the past year. The rapper was arrested on gun-possession charges In July and in October he missed a concert after being arrested in Idaho, on a felony fugitive charge.
