First it was Puff Daddy. Then it was P. Diddy. Now it’s… Sean John?

Not quite.

Despite rumours that Sean “P. Diddy” Combs changed his name to Sean John, Combs is still going by P. Diddy.

“Recent reports of a name change are totally false, he is still Diddy,” his rep wrote to MTV News on Thursday. “He is currently in ‘Sean John’ mode as the upcoming Sean John fashion show is scheduled for February 8 in New York.”

The rapper and fashion mogul went by the name Puff Daddy until 2005. He then changed it to P. Diddy in August that year.
