Legendary Canadian folk musician Gordon Lightfoot is set to hit four cities in Ontario this spring.

The man behind hits like “Early Mornin’ Rain,” “If You Could Read My Mind” and “Sundown” will kick off the mini-tour April 19 with two shows at Ottawa’s National Arts Centre.

He will play in Hamilton and Kitchener, Ont., next. It will be the 69-year-old singer’s first performance in Hamilton since a 2004 benefit concert in which Lightfoot paid tribute to friends, family and the medical professionals who cared for him after a near-fatal illness in 2002.

The tour wraps up in Toronto with four shows at Massey Hall.

Prior to the Ontario trek, Lightfoot will tour the U.S. in February and March.

The Orillia-born musician is a 15-time Juno award winner and has been nominated for five Grammy Awards. He is also a Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee.
