Host, Performers Confirmed For Indie Music Awards
Jose Gonzalez and St. Vincent, the solo project of Polyphonic Spree guitarist Annie Clark, are the first performers announced for this year’s Plug Independent Music Awards.
The two artists are also nominated for several awards, along with multiple nominees such as Arcade Fire, Of Montreal, Justice, Band Of Horses and El-P.
Comedian Patton Oswalt will host the ceremony, to be held March 6 in New York.
Oswalt is perhaps best known for his role in TV’s “King of Queens” and as the voice of Remy the rat/chef in Pixar’s hit animated feature “Ratatouille.”
He also released his second comedy album, “Werewolves and Lollipops,” in 2007.
Indie music fans can head over to PlugAwards.com to vote for the 2008 nominess until Feb. 8.
