She has managed to keep herself out of trouble while the rest of her young Hollywood comrades have racked up the legal charges, been knocked up, sent off to rehab and revealed, mostly against their wills, their secret sex tapes.

But just like her former O.C. cast mates learned in the final season of the long-dead series, all good things must come to an end. Mischa Barton killed her squeaky clean track record with a DUI for drunk driving and possession of illegal drugs.

Early Thursday morning the starlet was arrested in West Hollywood on a DUI, and was being held on a $10,000 bail. Various reports from Reuters and popular website TMZ have reported that Barton remained in jail until 10 a.m.

MTV News obtained an arrest report that outlined the event, stating that Barton was stopped in her car just after 3 a.m. because the police had spotted a car weaving back and forth through the traffic lines. Then, to make matters worse, the drunken damsel failed to signal on a turn causing the siren lights to go on, and the pursuit to commence.

No further information has been given regarding the arrest, and Barton as well as her reps have failed to make any comment.
