She is the hottest act in the tween world right now, she’s got her own show on the Disney channel, and she’s headlining a sold-out North American concert tour but that doesn’t mean Miley Cyrus can’t get grounded like any other 15-year-old.

The pop superstar and daughter of singer Billy Ray Cyrus still gets an allowance and since hitting the road for her tour, she’s been grounded by her famous father, CTV reports.

“It was because I was being a smart aleck, I deserved it. I was smarting off,” Cyrus said in Toronto, her only Canadian stop of the tour. The interview came just before her sold out show at the Air Canada Centre.

The tour, featuring teen heartthrobs, the Jonas Brothers, has proved to be the one of the biggest draws of the year. Celebs Nicole Richie, Heidi Klum, Steven Spielberg and Kobe Bryant have all checked out the show.
