Rapper Mannie Fresh’s sister, Angela Bryant, 42, was found dead in her home in New Orleans. Reports say that Bryant was shot and killed in her house. According to a local news source, her children, ages 2 and 7, were present but not harmed.

The body was discovered on Thursday morning, Nov. 29, and the authorities have concluded that she was murdered between 10:00 p.m. and midnight. They reported that her black Lexus had been stolen after the murder, as well.

Bryant and her husband had just been married a month prior to the murder. Her husband, who claims to have been out of town at the time of the shooting, arrived at the scene and was reportedly distraught.

The authorities still have not concluded whether or not Bryant knew the killer, however there were no signs of forced entry into the home.

“We’ve not drawn any conclusions,” Marlon Defillo, Assistant New Orleans Police Superintendent told local news source WWLTV.

“We’ve not made any elimination. As the day progresses, we hope to learn more, but it’s a work in progress.”
