Usher is A Daddy!
At 9:30 p.m. on Monday night Usher and new wife Tameka Foster went from being one of Hollywood’s hottest couples, to being some of Hollywood’s hottest parents.
The young couple, who were only just married in August, proudly welcomed their son to the world in hospital in Atlanta this week. The baby, whose name has not yet been released, weighed a healthy 7 pounds 9 ounces.
In a candid interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the eager papa-to-be gushed about the child and stated that if he and his wife had a boy, he would love to name him Usher.
“I’m hoping to name him that. I’ve been playing with a few names. I’m the fourth: Usher Raymond IV. I just want to pass the name on. Maybe I’ll change the middle name.”
People.com reports that Usher, Tameka, and baby will be heading back home on Wednesday as a family.
